


The Panthers are proud to announce the signing of the very talented Danny Green to bolster their A Grade squad for season 2009. Danny will bring great experience to the young Panthers Squad with 93 QLD Cup games under his belt including a Premiership with the Dolphins. Danny broke into Q Cup at the age of 19 with the Ipswich Jets and was contracted to Parramatta that same year. He has since been dual registered with the Broncos and comes to the Panthers full of class and enthusiasm.
The 2008 AGM for the Panthers RLFC was held at the Old Council Chambers in Arana Hills this evening. The following Board members were returned for 2009.

President Wayne Parsons delivered passionate speech thanking our sponsors and volunteers for season 2008 as well as pointing to the formulation of both the Panthers Business Club and Panthers Supporters Club in season 2008 as building blocks for the financial future of the organisation. He spoke of consolidation of playing, gymnasium and field training, all to be based at Arana Sports in 2009 as another important step in the Clubs direction towards the top tier of the QRL.
Treasurer Troy Payne then delivered a positive financial report and auditor's assessment of the clubs fiscal position.
Any business minded supporters or past players wishing to nominate for one of the 3 vacant board positions should apply in writing to Mark Maguire before the next board meeting set down for December 1st. The Wests Panthers begin their assault on the Fogs 2009 competition today at 5.30pm. New Panther recruits will join some familiar faces at the Jungle this afternoon to get put through their paces by new head coach Craig Ingebrigsten and Colts Coach Doug Kellaway.
Expectation is high at the Jungle on the back of last years Colts Premiership and supporters are looking forward to another exciting and successful year. Any players wishing to wear the red and black are advised to present to Kev McKell Oval this afternoon in training gear ready to hit the field running at 5.30pm.
