




Last week saw the Panthers Travelling to Ipswich to take on the Ipswich Jets at the Briggs road Complex. In the first match the Panthers colts raced out to a 12 point lead in the first 15 minutes of play with Matt Lennon back on target converting both tries from close to the sideline. Ipswich responded well from that point on and scored the next 25 points unanswered to win the match 25 - 12. The Panthers tried hard throughout the match with special mention to Blair Blanchette who was strong on his debut for the Panthers.
In the FOGS Cup A-Grade match the panthers ran into a white hot Ipswich team and before the Panthers could blink, they were down 24 - nil at half time. After a spirited half time speech from coach Craig Ingebrigsten, the panthers returned in the second half and displayed a better showing but could not reel in the Jets going Down 32 - 10.
Round three sees the Panthers return to Kev McKell Oval for the first time this year after travelling away for the four trials and first two competition matches to play Easts.
