New President Tony Currie wasted no time putting his board to work in planning for next year. At his first board meeting as President the members passed a unanimous resolution to move the club back to Purtell Park for season 2010. This will bring to an end an extremely fruitful era based out of Kev McKell Oval for the Panthers. Currie was quick to acknowledge the fantastic support received from both the Arana Panthers and Arana Leagues Club Community since the clubs move in the early 2000's.
President Currie was quick to note that although the relationship will no longer be one of co-location, he understood the vital role played by the WAHJRLFC and all junior affiliate clubs in keeping Rugby League a strong code in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. He vowed to work closely with all junior affiliate clubs to give young men a career path to the NRL.
